Creative Arts Group – Building my spiritual self
“Creativity is a life-force energy that flows like a river through each of us. Dam it up and we become physically ill, blocked and physically stressed” Rogers (1993)
Creative activities are important for our health and well-being. They can help us build our self esteem, provide motivation and hope and help us to problem solve some of life’s difficulties.
Why Creative Arts?
In this course you will build your confidence to explore yourself through objects. The group is flexible and encouraging towards your needs and goals. You will find this group provides you the necessary space to revitalize yourself and find a new sense of energy and peace for your day. It is hoped that the group will give you skills to learn new ways of being creative in your own life and encourage you to start building creative time into your daily life!
Laura a mental health occupational therapist and currently completing her PhD in the use of creativity in the recovery of trauma.
